David Salle with Aldo Andreoli of AA Studio

Painter, printmaker, stage designer, and essayist David Salle is one of the most important figures to define the postmodern sensibility. Major exhibitions of his work have been held at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, Castello di Rivoli (Torino, Italy), and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, among others. How to See, a volume of Salle’s collected essays, will be published by W.W. Norton in Fall, 2016.
