Inspiration
The Sphere Greenhouse intends to reinvestigate our relationship with plants by transporting the user into an intimate world where only the user and the plants exist. To that end, the pavilion as a sphere built from circles invokes the idea of having a cosmos in your garden. The space within the sphere is so flexible that seats and pots can be arranged to one’s liking. Seats become pots for plants, pots become seats for people.

Sou Fujimoto Tokyo-based architect known for his delicate light structures and permeable enclosures, who has been hand-picked to design the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in London in 2013.
