Housing in the 21st century needs to be produced as easily as a car in a production line, making it affordable and accessible to everyone. Still, displaying the highest quality of craftsmanship and exuding the finest design sensibilities has to be of paramount importance. The structure takes inspiration from cut diamonds, whose different facets or faces give it an unmistakable glow.
Polygonal Successions is a series of 2-bedroom structures with an open living, dining, and kitchen layout. Not like your typical row-house design, this space-saving structure aleardy has a single-car garage that can be converted into a lanai. The structure is made of insulated metal panels to keep the house insulated from heat. Normally, houses are made of masonry which absorbs heat, slowly transferring into the house at night, thereby requiring more energy to cool it down. With the use of insulated metal panels, the heat stops at the exterior surface, thus keeping the inside of the house cool. With today’s paint coating technology, the house can be painted to repel heat, dirt, and even sound.
A multi-awarded architect, Eduardo Calma is known for designing luxurious homes in upscale communities in the Philippines.
