BY PHILIP JOHNSON ALAN RITCHIE ARCHITECTS
The design is based on sixty-foot cube that is bisected into two sections or modules to create a strong geometric statement. Depending on the size of the Museum proposed and type of the exhibit space required the building can be designed as a single module or placed front to front, back to back or side by side. The main feature of the building will be a 45-degree sloping roof plane which will make a striking statement from both inside and out. Through the use of translucent panels, sunlight will filter through to the exhibit area below, and at a night, a soft glow from the technology installations inside will emanate through the roof.
Philip Johnson Alan Ritchie Architects is a New York Professional Corporation which was established in 1994. The firm also includes an in‐house interior design group, and opened an architectural office in Houston, established in Texas in 2012.
